Stairway to Heaven – Android game

Stairway to Heaven is a 3D Android game created with OpenGL ES. The goal of the game is simple – avoid falling off the platforms for as long as possible to accrue a higher score. The game uses a combination of the phone or tablet’s gyropscope and accelerometer to control a bouncy ball to attempt to stay in the sky.

The game is designed with a big challenge in mind for the player, after all, what’s the point of a game that’s too easy? Hit the edge of a platform, and you will bounce back off to your death. The score multiplies with your speed, so setting a high score involves balancing precision and velocity well. If you feel like you have mastered the game, there is a hard mode which makes the platforms move from side to side, making every jump a potentially fatal one if you mis-time it.

The game has a local leaderboard system to track your own personal best or to challenge friends with.
